OnePlus 3 software update pulled due to ‘reports of issues’

OnePlus has pulled the OxygenOS 3.2.0 over the air update for the OnePlus 3 due to some reported issues.

The Chinese phone maker announced that it had started the incremental rollout of OxygenOS 3.2.0 on Monday, and intended to reach 100 percent coverage over the following 48 hours.

However, a number of issues during the upgrade procedure have led to the company halting the update process.

“Due to some reports of issues while upgrading, we are temporarily stopping the rollout to investigate. We will start back up as soon as possible,” reads the edited forum post.

It’s not yet clear precisely what those issues are.

As for OxygenOS 3.2.0 itself, it includes (or will include) improved RAM management (putting that 6GB of RAM to better use), as well as improved GPS performance, enhanced audio playback quality, updated custom icon packs, improved camera quality, and a bunch of other fixes and tweaks.

Even without this latest update, the OnePlus 3 is a great phone. We were particularly fond of its premium build quality, solid camera, and great value.

It’s also the first OnePlus phone that you can simply purchase outright rather than having to jump through hoops to obtain an invite. Which is always nice.
