The company recently tweeted: "The #OnePlus2 will be the first flagship to use Type C USB. We want to lead the way in power connectivity."
Considering all the speculation surrounding the Chinese manufacturer's second phone, you might not think that news of its charging port would be that exciting. Yet confirmation that the OnePlus 2 will sport a USB-C port is good news indeed.
Not only is it capable of carrying a whole lot of charge (in can charge a laptop), but it can also transfer data at up to 10 Gbps and act as a video output and input. It's also extremely small and reversible, like Apple's Lightning connector.
Aside from the OnePlus 2 getting USB-C, there's been plenty of speculation surrounding the phone's specs. It's said to be landing with a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM, as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 1080p display.

As for pricing, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has claimed that a $403 (£265) price for the OnePlus 2 sounds "reasonable", which suggests that this could well be the approximate cost.
OnePlus still expects to launch the OnePlus Two in Q3 this year, with July rumoured to be the precise month.
