More details concerning the forthcoming OnePlus 2 have been confirmed by the company.
There's been a steady drip of information coming through ahead of the OnePlus 2's July 27 launch. The unusual thing to note is that much of this has been official.
This trend has continued with yet another Reddit AMA session from the OnePlus team.
From it, we learned that the OnePlus 2 will have a 3,300mAh battery. That's larger than the 3,100mAh example to be found in the OnePlus One.
Despite this bump-up, the OnePlus 2 will actually be smaller than the OnePlus One. See that picture at the top? That's more than just a OnePlus One - it's a OnePlus One on top of a OnePlus 2, showing that the new phone will be both narrower and shorter than its predecessor.
Those are the juiciest snippets to emerge from the AMA, but there's a bunch of smaller stuff. There'll be no heart rate sensor, for example, and the charging cable will be longer than before.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei also revealed that he was most proud of the OnePlus 2's design and build, stating that it represented "a big step up."
We also learned that the OnePlus One would consider to be available after the launch of the OnePlus 2, which is something we didn't expect to be the case for a while.
