Oculus has announced the forthcoming availability of the Oculus Rift bundles, which include a Rift-ready PC and a virtual reality headset.
Pre-orders will commence on February 16 and will offer bundles starting at $1,499 USD (around £1,039), with PCs from ASUS, Alienware and Dell.
Those models include the ASUS C11CD, Alienware Area 51 and Dell XPS 8900 SE. Oculus is listing specs and prices on its blog and promises more models from more manufacturers are coming soon.
Along with the PC and the headset the bundle includes the Xbox One controller, a remote and the sensor. Lucky’s Tale and the EVE: Valkyrie Founder’s Pack will be the software included.
The bundles will begin shipping in select regions from April, while some standalone headsets will begin shipping in March.
Those who’ve already pre-ordered their headset will be able to jump on board with a Rift-ready PC at a discounted rate, Oculus says. To grab an offer code, customers will need to log onto their order status page and opt into one of the partner offers.
Oculus is still advising potential buyers to check a compatibility chart to see if existing PCs can handle the rift. You can also check our guide to getting your PC Rift ready.
Pre-orders of the bundles will begin at 8am PST (4pm UK time) on the 16th from Amazon, the Microsoft Store and Best Buy online.
