Sony has confirmed October's PS Plus games for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

We finally know the six games you'll be able to download for free in October with your PlayStation Plus membership.

"The summer is over and the nights are drawing in, but on the bright side that means we can spend more time losing ourselves in the world of videogames, with a fresh batch of PlayStation Plus games on their way to your system of choice," explained Sony in a blog post.

Six new games will land on the PS Plus section of the store on 6 October.

First up is Broken Age for PS4 and PS Vita. This is the first adventure from Grim Fandango creator Tim Schafer for 16 years and it's a beautiful hand-painted adventure.

Next up is Super Meat Boy, which pretty much needs no introduction. This twitch platformer from Team Meat puts you in control of a titular, cube-shaped character as he attempts to rescue his girlfriend, Bandage Girl.

With more than 300 levels, there's plenty to keep you busy.

For PS4 and PS3, there's Unmechanical Extended. This adventure title combines tricky puzzle-solving with exploration and follows the story of a lone robot. He's trapped in an atmospheric underground complex and needs to work his way out.

Chariot, which made its debut on Xbox One with Philips Hue support too, is coming to PS3 through PS Plus this month.

PS Plus members also get access to the wacky side-scroller Kung Fu Rabbit, as well as rhythm-based martial arts title Kickbeat on PS Vita and PS3.

You'll want to download DriveClub PS Plus Edition before 6 October too, since it's disappearing from the PS Plus games offerings forever.
