The Nvidia GTX 950 has been announced as a MOBA-focused, affordable graphics card.
Nvidia has created a graphics card specifically targeted at users who want high performance in MOBA games.
It offers reduced input latency for MOBA gamers, with a competitive price point. Although there’s no UK pricing as yet, it will sit between the $199 GTX 960 and the $149 GTX 750 Ti at $159.
This isn’t a graphics card for the hardcore, super-technical audience, but those looking to get an excellent experience for their most played games – aka MOBAs.
The GTX 950 is seen as a replacement for the GTX 750Ti, which has been given a global price-cut ahead of the 950’s launch.
However, the GM260 actually has one extra Streaming Multiprocessor and is designed with a TDP of 90W.
The GTX 950’s reference design also has provision for a 6-pin power connector, so it’s not technically going to beat the 750 Ti as it is still the better option in terms of power consumption.

However, the GTX 950 is supposedly three times faster than the GTX 650, which is still classed as one of the top ten most popular graphics cards used by gamers – according to the Steam Hardware survey anyway.
The GTX 950 aims to reduce latency between the graphics and your mouse and keyboard.
It comes with some great new features too, including the ability to view an instant replay of the previous 20 minutes of play.
The GeForce experience has also been revamped to include features like being able to upload straight to YouTube mid-game. You can also stream your game or desktop straight to Twitch without the need for additional software.
What we love is the new GameStream feature that allows you to stream games to your friends over the internet via a simple Google Chrome plug-in.
Nvidia does recommend a 7mbps upstream/downstream connection for the host, which might be an issue for some.
