Nvidia Grid has a new name, Nvidia GeForce Now, and it launches in the UK tomorrow.
Nvidia has revealed the final name for its game streaming service alongside the pricing details.
GeForce Now, previously known as Nvidia Grid, was available as a beta service to any Shield device users, including the new Nvidia Shield TV. But it launches in full on October 1, with a new subscription fee.
The streaming service costs £7.49 a month, but you can get the first three months for free.
For this price you’ll get access to a selection of “membership pack” games that you can stream for free.
You’ll also notice that there are options to purchase other games through the service, with pricing often matching or bettering Steam offerings.
What’s more, you’ll often find that if you buy the games through Nvidia GeForce Now, you’ll get a Steam/GOG.com or other PC game code along with it.
Not all games include a free PC code, but if you click on individual titles it’ll tell you whether there’s a PC code, what resolution they’ll stream at and how many players are supported.

What might be an issue with GeForce Now is the minimum Wi-Fi requirements. Nvidia suggests you’ll need at least 12Mbps to even start streaming a game, but if you want 720p HD at 30fps, you’ll actually need 20Mbps.
As for the maximum full 1080p HD at 60fps, you’ll require an internet connection of 50Mbps or more.
