Ahead of next week’s expected Nokia X unveiling, leaked test shots have suggested the company’s first Android phone will run a 5-megapixal camera.
With a number of contrasting Nokia X rumours having circulated in recent weeks, there had been much debate as to whether the entry-level Android handset will feature a truly basic 3-megapixel snapper or a slightly more advance 5-megapixel offering.
Now, however, a leaked test shot (below}, reportedly taken with the Nokia X, a device also doing the rounds as the Nokia A110 and the Nokia Normandy, has all but confirmed that phone’s primary camera will sport a 5-megapixel sensor.
Although the shot has also confirmed that the phone will benefit from an integrated LED flash, and a fixed focal length, further details on the Nokia X camera remain sparse.
Despite having thrown much of its efforts into pushing the rise of the Windows Phone platform in recent years,
Recent Nokia X rumours have claimed the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean powered phone will launch with a heavily skinned UI with a tile-based interface similar to that on the Windows Phone OS.
Said to run a 4-inch WQVGA display the Nokia X specs sheet will reportedly be rounded off by a 1GHz dual-core processor and dual-SIM capabilities.
With Nokia holding its own MWC 2014 press conference on the morning of February 24, the same days as the expected Samsung Galaxy S5 unveiling, the Nokia X is believed to be heading for launch in less than a week.
