As well as launching its flagship Windows Phone, a budget Windows Phone and a range of Symbian handsets, Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop just about found time to announce that it would be releasing on-ear and in-ear headphones in conjunction with Monster.
Monster is probably best known for brining us the Beats range of headphones, and now Nokia has teraed up with the to bring us a pair of headphones for use with Nokia's phones.
The Nokia Purity HD Headset by Monster will, like the Lumia 800 be available in blue, pink or black, as well as white. They have been designed specifically for use with mobile phones.
The headset is made out of scratch resistant materials and integrated music and call-answering controls, should make it easy to use. The foldable headset will also come with a carrying case to keep it safe when you’re not using it.
For the more discreet audiophile, Nokia has also announced a pair of in-ear headphones, the Nokia Purity In-Ear Stereo Headset, again developed in collaboration with Monster. The earbuds include a patent-pending, Monster tangle-free flat cable and are available in the same four colours.
Again, the ControlTalk in-line controls let you answer calls without removing the headphones, as well as controlling the music you’re listening to.
Nokia has yet to announce pricing for either headset, but with the Monster logo emblazoned on the side, we’re expecting them to come at a premium.
