Nokia Lumia 928 photo leaks online

Reportedly due to launch in April, a press shot of the Verizon Nokia Lumia 928 handset has leaked online.

Looking a lot like the existing Nokia Lumia 920 handset, the elongated flash and 4G LTE branding on the rear of the device are the only giveaways that this is the new Nokia Lumia 928.

The photo appeared courtesy of fairly trustworthy leak source @evleaks, but The Verge has confirmed that the picture is a genuine shot of the upcoming Nokia Lumia 928 to be launched by Verizon later this month.

Rumoured to launch with an aluminium frame, the Nokia Lumia 928 could actually sport a thinner polycarbonate body than that used in the Nokia Lumia 920, with the smartphone manufacturer reserving the aluminium body for future devices like the Nokia Lumia EOS or Nokia Lumia Catwalk.

Nokia Lumia 928 Features
Tipped to be a handset that stands out from the current Nokia Lumia offerings, including the Nokia Lumia 620 and Nokia Lumia 820, the Nokia Lumia 928 should boast an 8-megapixel camera with a xenon and LED flash combination.

Featuring a slightly curved back, the Nokia Lumia 928 could resemble the design of the HTC One. Measuring 10.2mm at its thinnest and 11.2mm with the curved rear, the Nokia Lumia 928 is a touch thinner than the Nokia Lumia 920 which measures 10.7mm thick.

The Nokia Lumia 928 features a 4.5-inch OLED display, which is an upgrade from the Nokia Lumia 920’s 4.5-inch WXGA  screen with 1,280 x 768 resolutions. The updated flagship will also play host to support for simultaneous voice and LTE (SVLTE).

Retaining the Nokia Lumia 920’s 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM, Windows 8 OS and 32GB of internal storage, the Nokia Lumia 928 is said to be in the final stages of testing.

The handset is set to be revealed as a 4G Verizon phone by the end of the month.
