The Nokia Lumia 900 will be available in the UK from April 27, as revealed by Phones 4u in its product page for the phone. It's available for free on contracts for £36 a month and above.

At its official launch during CES 2012 in Las Vegas, it looked as though we in the UK weren't going to be enjoying the 4.3in Lumia-series Nokia any time soon. However, the Phones 4u page for the Nokia Lumia 900 suggests it'll ship on April 27. You can pre-order the phone now, and doing so will net you a Nokia Play360 wireless speaker. A Bluetooth speaker may not be the no.1 must have phone accessory, but as it is worth around £120, it's a neat extra.

The Nokia Lumia 900 is best summed-up as the 4.3in version of the 3.7in Lumia 800. It runs Windows Phone 7.5, has 16GB of internal memory, a 1.4GHZ processor and 480 x 800 pixel display resolution. There are a few upgrades other than screen size, though. The processor uses a different chipset and the camera has been bumped-up from 5MP to 8MP.

Several of the Lumia 900's key specs are starting to feel seriously out of date - its screen has well under half the number of pixels seen in the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and its CPU has just one core where four are becoming common in Android phones. However, with a good-quality Clear Black AMOLED display and Windows Phone running the show, it doesn't feel too past its best in actual usage, as we found out in our hands-on.
