Pictures of the heavily rumoured Android Nokia phone have leaked online.
Giving us a first look at what Android would look like on a Nokia phone, notorious tech tipster @evleaks has posted an image on Twitter.
The image shows three separate Android screens on a Nokia Lumia handset, revealing what Nokia’s Android UI could look like if it ever launches.
On the left-hand side is the Nokia Android lockscreen, which seemingly offers calendar, call and message notifications previews.
Then there’s the call screen, with various caller options and an easily viewable network quality indicator.
It seems this particular Nokia Android device has a dual-SIM option from the duo of signal strength icons at the top of the screen, suggesting Nokia could launch its Android handsets for emerging markets.
On the right hand side is a screengrab of Skype running on the Nokia Android device, which looks to offer a very clean and uncluttered UX.
@evleaks has little information to offer with the Nokia screengrabs, except to say: “Android on Nokia (-virtual buttons)”.
The Nokia Android phone lacks the three soft touch buttons at the bottom of its range of Nokia Lumia devices. Instead, there’s a single Back button at the bottom of the device, with the rest of the controls access via the touchscreen it seems.
From what we can see there’s definteily a strong Windows Phone influence in Nokia’s Android UI, especially in the colour scheme, but you can’t get much from these screens.
The Nokia Android phone is apparently codenamed Normandy and is expected to launch in 2014.
