Nokia has announced a new phone that features a 41MP camera sensor. Harnessing technology developed for satelite imaging, the new camera can capture up to seven times the pixels of an average smartphone camera.
Other details on the phone are currently slim – like what OS it runs – but it’s clear it isn’t a Windows Phone. Oddly, despite the lack of details, Nokia did announce pricing, with it set to cost 450euros.
While the sensor itself is 41MP, images can be capture in either 5MP, 8MP or 38MP.
Dolby headphone technology is also built in and a new hi-definition audio recording feature called Nokia Rich Recording are also included.
More details to come…
