Nintendo sets date to reveal more Switch news – here’s when the next teaser is coming

Nintendo recently teased us with the first reveal video for its new console, the Nintendo Switch, and more news is incoming soon. Here’s the date to circle on your calendar.

The Nintendo Switch is a very exciting prospect indeed, combining a traditional living room console with a portable gaming device in a way we haven’t seen before – at least from a big name games manufacturer.

Opinion: The Nintendo Switch is the first truly 21st century console

While all eyes are on the expected March 2017 launch date, Nintendo has quietly announced plans to release more Switch information early on next year.

Nintendo Life reports that Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima disclosed during an earnings call that a second Nintendo Switch presentation is on its way – and it’ll take place in Japan on Janaury 12, and Nintendo will offer a global live stream of the event.

Among the things set to be revealed? Oh, just trivial details like the official release date, pricing, and launch games. Nothing big…

After that presentation, it’s understood that Nintendo will be taking the Switch on a world tour and staging demo and hands-on events in the US and Europe, which is when we’ll really get a chance to see what the new console is all about.

In the meantime, watch the video below for everything we know so far about the Nintendo Switch.
