Nintendo’s upcoming NX console could be “cheaper than the vast majority” expect, according to a new report.
Yesterday it was reported by Eurogamer that the NX would be a portable console with detachable controllers, and its games would come on cartridges.
Now it appears the console is going to be “cheaper than the vast majority expect”, if a new report by MCV rings true.
"This is a machine that is targeting the mass market, and Nintendo certainly plans for it to have a mass market price," says MCV. "Price is one Wii U mistake Nintendo is determined not to repeat. This could be NX's single biggest win."

Nintendo’s previous console, the Wii U, launched for £229/$279 back in November 2013. Despite its relatively modest price, the system's only managed to sell a total of 13 million units worldwide.
MCV claims to have spoken to a source with “hands on experience” with the NX, describing it as a “bit of a novelty.”
The Nintendo NX is scheduled to launch in March 2017 alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
A reveal for the console is rumoured to take place this September, although nothing's been confirmed.
