Nintendo has revealed the best-selling games for Wii U and 3DS

Mario Kart 8 and Pokemon X & Y lead the way in software sales as Nintendo releases its new earnings report for 2015.

There are plenty of fantastic games available for the Wii U and 3DS, but which of them sold the most?

Nintendo’s latest earnings report provides specific sales charts for Wii U and 3DS, listing the best-selling titles for each platform as of December 31, 2015.

Mario Kart 8 dominates the Wii U chart, boosting ahead with a sales total of 7.24 million. New Super Mario Bros. U (5.08 million) and Nintendo Land (5.02 million) trail behind in second and third place.

The 3DS chart is made up mostly by Mario and Pokemon, while titles such as Animal Crossing, Tomodachi Life and Super Smash Bros. round out the rest of the list.

Despite strong software sales, Nintendo’s revenue dropped by 3.9 percent, whilst overall profit decreased by a massive 36.5 percent in 2015.
