A Californian watch maker has revealed a new luxury watch that incorporates an Apple Watch on the flipside.
Nico Gerard has announced the Pinnacle, a $9,300 (a little under £6,000) luxury watch with one particularly distinctive feature. It’s got an Apple Watch on the back.
While from the front the Nico Gerard Pinnacle is a classy but decidedly ordinary-looking high-end stainless steel wristwatch, flipping it over will reveal Apple’s debut smartwatch sitting there like the world’s most advanced clasp.
While the actual watch is a 41mm spec, it’s the smaller 38mm Apple Watch model that finds itself incorporated into the strap.
The main, front portion of the watch contains a mechanical NG2824A movement certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres. It’s also water resistant to 100 metres (unlike the Apple Watch).
Meanwhile the rear of the device can show you your emails, take your heartbeat, control your smarthome gadgets, and show you where the nearest coffee shop is. When it’s not charging on your bedside table, that is.
“This classic timepiece shows the world you have an affinity for discerning tastes, and provides you with the technology that respects you to the core of your being,” reads the blurb.
That’s one way of putting it.

In addition to a blue-faced model (that’ll be an extra $200 please), there’s also a gold edition that also comes with the gold Apple Watch Edition. The latter will set you back a frankly ridiculous $112,000, or £71,800.
But then, something tells us the Pinnacle range isn’t really intended for rational thinkers.
