Nexus 6 UK release date tipped for December 1

With Google remaining tight-lipped on an official Nexus 6 UK release date, online retailers have started prematurely listing the handset.

According to the seller Mobiles.co.uk, the Nexus 6 will be brought to British shores on December 1. For those who just can’t wait that long to splash the cash, it has been suggested Nexus 6 pre-orders will be opened up almost two week earlier on November 18.

Unveiled last month alongside Google’s latest mobile OS, Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Nexus 6 is a monster of the smartphone space.

Pairing a 6-inch, QHD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel with a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM, the Motorola-made, Google-branded Nexus 6 is a direct rival to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Adding a 13-megapixel, OIS-enhanced rear-mounted camera, Android L and a 3220mAh Lithium-Ion battery, the Nexus 6 is set to give the iPhone 6 Plus a run for its money in the handset stakes.

Given Google’s lack of official confirmation, we would suggest the December 1 launch date is taken lightly for now. UK pricing for the Nexus 6 is still unclear.

Although we are still waiting on an official Nexus 6 launch window, yesterday saw Google’s latest tablet, the Nexus 9 offered for sale in the UK.

While the iPad Air 2 rival is now available through the Google Play store, only the 16GB device is currently on sale.

Stay tuned to TrustedReviews for all the latest from Google on when to expect the Nexus 6.
