The next expansion for Destiny 2 could be going to Mars

Details on the next expansion for Destiny 2 have emerged in an alleged PlayStation Store leak, revealing a new location, missions and more.

Curse of Osiris, which was released in December 2017, saw a similar premature reveal on the Microsoft Store ahead of its release.

According to the leak, first spotted by Shack News, the next expansion will be known as Gods of Mars, which will see Guardians journey to the Frigid Vale of Mars.

We’d take this leak with plentiful grains of salt for now, or at least wait until Bungie themselves verify the leak much like it did with Curse of Osiris.

The second expansion for Destiny 2 is set to release in Spring 2018, although a specific date has yet to be confirmed.

Curse of Osiris provided players with a handful of new missions, maps and loot to be unlocked, although was relatively short considering its £16.99 price tag.

Alastair Stevenson came away very impressed with Destiny 2, scoring the base game 9/10 in his review:

“Destiny 2 is one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played this year, and tackles one of the biggest issues with the first game. Featuring a stellar, albeit easy, single-player campaign, excellent combat and class mechanics.”
