Next year's GDC 2016 will feature the début of a brand new Virtual Reality Developers Conference known as VRDC.
UBM Tech Game Network, the organisers of the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC), has announced VRDC will start next year.
The inaugural VRDC will be held alongside the GDC Summits as a standalone conference, bringing together experts from the videogames and technology fields to discuss virtual reality.
That includes the state and the art of making immersive virtual reality and augmented reality experiences for the headset already on the market and in the future.
VRDC will take place over the first two days of GDC 2016, which is March 14 - 15 2016, and offer gamers the opportunity to explore and discuss their virtual and augmented reality projects.
There will also be interactive experiences available to developers.

The conference's programme will include content for game developers, storytellers and creators new to the VR platform, helping them develop 3D games, CG movies, filmed experiences and other content.
Passes to attend VRDC will also guarantee entrance to the main GDC Expo Floor from March 16 - 18, where the biggest names in VR will be showcasing their games and experiences.
By the same token, all GDC Summits and GDC All-Access Pass holders will also have access to all the VRDC content.
Submissions and all summit content will be open from September 2015, with more information available on the GDC website.
