LG G3 leak

The LG G3 leaks are coming thick and fast with new LG G3 pictures appearing online; showcasing the upcoming phone’s reworked design.

With the phone having been confirmed earlier today to be heading for a May 27 unveiling, the newly leaked LG G3 pictures have once again showcased the handset’s refreshed design, with a dual-LED flash thrown into the mix alongside updated rear volume controls.

Having surfaced through the Ortud forum, the LG G3 pictures show the handset in a couple of oversized, rubberised cases so we can’t see exactly what the phone’s rear will look like.

What is visible, however, is that the phone’s rear-mounted volume/power controls have been refined, with a more pronounced power button fitting with previous leaks. What’s more, the phone’s IR receiver has been relocated to make way for the expanded dual-LED flash.

Another new addition on the phone’s rear is a mystery sensor in the lower left corner. Although the LG G3 has been widely rumoured to play host to an integrated fingerprint reader, to us the snapped sensor looks more like a heart rate monitor. We should find out for certain when the handset is unveiled on May 27.

Around front, like the LG G2 before it, the G3 has been shown to feature an oversized screen with a seriously slim line bezel.

Although the phone’s specs have not been discussed in the latest leaks, recent rumours have suggested the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 rival will land with a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The phone’s party piece, however, looks set to be its display, with a 5.5-inch QHD panel tipped for inclusion with a stunning 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.
