New inFamous: Second Son TV ads feature all new gameplay footage

A duo of new TV adverts for inFamous: Second Son have been released ahead of the game’s release date next month.

Sony has released special TV ads for inFamous: Second Son that show off new gameplay footage.

“To fuel the growing excitement for the March 21 launch date, we’ve worked closely with Sucker Punch to create adrenaline-fuelled gameplay spots that dive into the defiant attitude of the game, combining both music and industrial superpowers,” explained Nathalia Chubin, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Product Manager.

Although the TV spots are only thirty seconds long each, they provide some new gameplay footage showcasing the power wielded by the protagonist Delsin Rowe.

“These spots highlight the game’s jaw-dropping visuals and give you the opportunity to revel in mastering Delsin’s power as you stand up to the oppressive Department of Unified Protection.”

InFamous: Second Son is Sucker Punch’s first game for the PS4 and is set in an open-world Seattle. You play as new series protagonist Delsin, a 24-year-old street artist who is capable of controlling smoke.

The Department of Unified Protection – a special government branch dedicated to capturing those with superhuman skills – sees Delsin as a bioterrorist and are hunting him down.

Delsin is capable of releasing smoke projectiles and fireballs on his victims, and can also execute a special smoke-dash moves that will confuse enemies and conceal him.

InFamous: Second Son will be released on March 21 for the PS4 exclusively.

Those looking to purchase the game and Sony’s next-gen console can pre-order the inFamous: Second Son PS4 bundle now for £389.99 for a release date arrival.

The European TV spot is first, followed by the US version, which offers slightly different footage.
