The new HP Pavilion Gaming range looks perfect for entry-level PC gamers

HP has announced a new range of Pavilion Gaming computers designed for casual PC gamers with entry-level needs.

The range features two desktop PCs, a laptop and a monitor and sound perfect for gamers who don’t see the pastime as the solitary use for their computers.

Let’s start with what is likely to be the most popular product; the HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop.

The 15.6-inch notebook, which starts at $799 (around £560), promises Intel Core i5 or i7 processor with 8GB of RAM.

Buyers will be able to choose between a Radeon RX 560X, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or even a GTX 1060 Max-Q GPU.

In terms of the display, buyers will be able to choose from three screen configurations. There’s a 1080p 60Hz version, another full HD panel with 144Hz refresh rate and finally a 4K (60Hz) configuration.

There’s also a little gaming razzmatazz with green accents and backlit keys.

If you’re looking for a tower PC that’ll stay in one place, HP is offering the Pavilion Gaming 690 and 790 desktops, which also offer the 8th generation Core processors.

Starting at just $549 (around £387), the 690 desktop (pictured) is relatively compact, while the larger 790 starts at $749 (around £528) and can be configured with a whopping 64GB RAM.

Finally, HP announced the Pavilion Gaming 32 HDR display. As you can probably tell from the name, it’s a 32-inch HDR-enabled monitor with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. It’ll cost $449 (about £316).

You’ll be able to snap up the new Pavilion Gaming range from next month.
