New Apple TV release could slip to November
Those keenly awaiting the new Apple TV may not be able to get their hands on the revamped set-top box until November, according to reports.
Although Apple announced its hockey puck would be available from October, during its recent ’Hey Siri’ event, 9to5Mac sources say the release will slip beyond this month.
While customers may be able to pre-order it online this month, deliveries and in store availability won’t occur until November, the sources said.
Apple only confirmed it would go on sale at some point in October, so it’ll be able to live up to that vow by simply offering online pre-orders.
The revamped set-top box is perhaps the most intriguing device of Apple’s autumn line up.
It was announced alongside the iPhone 6S/Plus and the iPad Pro, but both were overshadowed by the Siri-powred tvOS, with access to the App Store and a long overdue Universal Search feature which will enable users to see content results from multiple apps.
The device also features a brand new Blueooth-powered remote (no more pointing at the box), which offers a microphone for voice commands and motion sensing tech for gaming.

It’ll come in 32GB and 64GB iterations, which will be priced at $149 and $199 respectively. The existing Apple TV will remain on sale at the current sale price.
