Netflix now available on TalkTalk’s YouView boxes

Netflix is once again spreading its wings onto more platforms with the arrival of its on-demand offerings on TalkTalk’s YouView set-top boxes.

The roll out allows those accessing YouView through the TalkTalk ISP to catch shows like Orange is the New Black and House of Cards.

The arrival (via The Next Web) also brings full integration with the YouView service, meaning the platform’s library will appear within content search results.

Netflix arrives a couple of months after it first appeared on BT’s own-branded YouView boxes in November. At the time it was announced the streaming giant would be hitting TalkTalk’s boxes in early in the new year.

Richard Halton, Netflix CEO said late last year: “Netflix is a brilliant addition to our already impressive line-up of TV programming. We are really excited about Netflix and giving YouView audiences even more choice.”

Netflix joins catch up TV offerings from all of the major terrestrial broadcasters as well as pay-as-you-go content from the Sky Store.

The arrival comes as Netflix continues to become an integral part of many traditional TV services. It also features as its own channel on Virgin Media’s set-top boxes, despite being widely heralded as a killer of traditional television content.
