Earlier this week we saw leaked listings hinting at two
versions of the Motorola Xoom 2 launching, and now we have proof that at least
one of these is on the way and will cost €400.
An image from an Irish Carphone Warehouse catalogue was
leaked to Engadget which shows that the 8.2in Xoom 2 will arrive in stores in
time for Christmas with a price tag of €399.90.
It is suspected that Motorola will launch a 10.1in model
along side this so-called Xoom 2 Media Edition but so far no confirmation has
been forthcoming from the company itself.
The page from the Irish catalogue advertised the 16GB Wi-Fi
only model which will be running Android 3.2 and not the new Android 4.0 (Ice
cream Sandwich) despite Motorola’s newly-close
relationship with Google.
While it seems as if people in Ireland
will be getting their hands on the Xoom 2 very soon, there is still no official
word on when it will be launched in the UK or elsewhere. However we are
expecting word soon from Motorola about the launch.
