Report: Motorola Moto X Force is the international Droid Turbo 2

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is widely rumoured for launch in the US in partnership with Verizon today, but what about the rest of the world?

It appears that Motorola is plotting an international version of the Motorola Droid Turbo 2.

The handset, according to mobile reseller Mobile Fun, will be called the Motorola Moto X Force.

The website revealed to TrustedReviews that it is now offering a number of cases designed for the phone by Urban Armour Gear.

Those cases are currently available to pre-order in Clear, Ash, and Magma colour variants.

The handset is expected to be announced today alongside the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 at a special launch event in the USA.

According to the rumour mill, the handset – developed under the codename ‘bounce’ – will be a ruggedised device that boasts a ‘shatterproof’ build.

It’s expected that we’ll see a 5.4.-inch QHD display featured, as well as 3GB of RAM, 32/64GB storage options, a hefty 3,760mAh battery, and a Snapdragon 810 processor.

Also rumoured to be on board are two cameras: a 21-megapixel rear-facing sensor, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.

It’s also tipped that the Moto X Force will be water-resistant up to a depth of 1 metre for anywhere up to 30 minutes.
