Motorola Moto Hint compact Bluetooth headset announced

Motorola has announced a new Bluetooth headset that’s so compact and unassuming, you might actually want to use it.

The Moto Hint is a tiny pebble-sized device that slips into your ear and hooks up to your smartphone via Bluetooth. It’ll sense when it’s in or out of your ear, so you won’t have to fiddle around with buttons every time you want to get it working.

And it’s not just for making and receiving phone calls either. It’s far cleverer than that. Through Google Now, you can also ask for directions, initiate web searches, listen to your text messages being read back to you, and add appointments to your calendar using your voice.

Of course, those more advanced voice-activated features are only available when you use the Hint in conjunction with the Moto X. It’ll work with any Android or iOS phone (yes, you can launch Siri queries with it), but without the advanced level of talking options.

You can get 10 hours of talk time out of the Moto Hint using the nifty charger-imbued carry case, which is good for an extra two complete charges.

The Motorola Moto Hint should launch in the UK over the coming months. There’s no news  from Motorola on UK pricing as yet, but it will cost $149.99 (around £92) in the US.
