If you’re in the market for a new phone but don’t want to shell out for an iPhone, this Motorola Moto X Play deal could be the perfect purchase for you.
John Lewis has discounted Motorola’s Moto X Play to just £199, bringing it down from Motorola’s recommended retail price of £249 by £50.
The formidable Android handset launched in 2015, and features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 21-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 615 processor, and a 3,630Ah battery.

How good a deal is this?
Despite this phone having been launched in 2015, this deal is still very good. The phone originally launched at £279, and now has a recommended retail price of £249.
Motorola is currently discounting the phone on its own website, but even that offer only brings the price down to £229. So for £199, John Lewis is taking a huge chunk off the price of the phone.
When you also consider the fact that this phone scored an 8/10 when reviewed at a significantly higher price, it’s clear that this is a steal.
