The Moto 360 smartwatch and its interchangeable wrist straps have been shown off in some new mock-ups.
When Motorola announced the Moto 360 last week following Google’s Android Wear announcement, the company revealed that the smartwatch will be quite the fashion statement.
Motorola has designed the Moto 360 to be the reinvention of the modern timepiece and will feature the first round smartwatch face to date. It will be glass fronted and made from premium materials as well to give it a fashionable edge.
The Moto 360 wrist band is also interchangeable so you can customise the device’s look on your wrist.
Some mock-ups of the Moto 360’s customisable wrist bands have been obtained by SlashGear and reveal you could be able to order a wide variety of straps via Motorola itself.
There will supposedly by a range of styles, shades and makes available, with some of those shown below.
What’s interesting is that the mock-ups show the Moto 360 has a purple undercarriage, which we expect can be customised too, similar to the Moto X in the US. However, Motorola may well use the coloured backs to differentiate any future models.
The images also show the Moto 360 has a microphone hole on the left hand side of the body, which will be used to pick up the various voice commands.
On the opposite side is a single button that is obviously designed to mimic the usual winder found on standard analogue watches. Obviously this button won’t be used to wind up the Moto 360, as it has a touch screen, but may well be used to access functions or to wake the watch from sleep.
One of the images also shown a battery percentage displayed on the watch’s face for glanceable info on how long you’ve got left until your Moto 360 dies.
