The most Googled Star Wars character revealed

The entire web is ablaze with Star Wars right now, but who do fans really care about?

Darth Vader is the most Googled Star Wars character right now.

That’s according to current data on Google Trends, which reveals the top searched Star Wars characters between December 16 and today.

Vader is closely tailed by the Sith Lord’s own son, Luke Skywalker.

Here are the top five most-searched characters, according to Google:

  1. Darth Vader – 43%
  2. Luke Skywalker – 20%
  3. Princess Leia – 14%
  4. R2-D2 – 11%
  5. Chewbacca – 11%

top searched

Interestingly, none of the top-searched characters are new introductions for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

While the seventh Star Wars movie introduces a number of new characters, it seems Google is still dominated by old classics.
