The title Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has been spotted ahead of an EA Games announcement at E3 2015.
It’s looking likely that the upcoming Mirror’s Edge 2 will be called Mirror’s Edge Catalyst when it’s released.
An EA trademark for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was spotted yesterday, along with a domain name for MirrorsEdgeCatalyst.com.
But what made the name spot a little more legitimate is that the official Mirror’s Edge Twitter account posted the following teaser:
It really couldn’t get more official than that ahead of the E3 2015 announcement next week during EA’s press conference on 15 June.

Rumour has it that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will launch in Q1 2016, as reported by a listing within the EA Games fourth-quarter earnings report.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was originally revealed back at E3 2013 as a sequel to the original game released back in November 2008.
It’s currently in development at EA Games’ studio DICE, which describes the game as “elegant, minimalistic and [with] an attitude.”
Then the game was given a little stage time at E3 2014, when DICE confirmed that Catalyst’s gameplay would be “geared towards traversing”, just like the original.
It also looks like we’ll finally find out the reason why protagonist Faith tattooed her eye.
“This is a girl who tattooed her eye. She did it for a reason”, explained DICE.
With the game due to get a full unveiling next week at E3 2015, we should hear a lot more about Mirror’s Edge Catalyst soon.
The game is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
