Mirror’s Edge Catalyst coming February 2016

EA Games has confirmed Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is coming February 23, 2016

Although we might have over half a year to wait until we can play Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, things are certainly looking up for Mirror’s Edge fans.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst explores the origin story of the game’s protagonist, Faith. The girl with the tattooed eye, who is tasked with being a catalyst of change.

This “revolutionary action adventure” explores what happened to Fatih to get her to this position. As with the original game, Catalyst is an immersive first person experience that shows off the free-running gracefulness of Faith.

According to EA Games, Faith is “as elegant as she is powerful” and just as before, she won’t need weapons to take down those after her.

That’s the people working for baddie Gabriel Kruger. Faith unfortunately lives in a city that offers no individual freedom or privacy, so it’s up to her to change things up a bit.

The game runs on the latest Frostbite 3 engine and is set in a completely open world. The idea is that you have the ultimate freedom of exploration.

Catalyst’s open world will run without level barriers or loading screens, with story missions, time trials and environmental puzzles (among other things) littered around the world.

It should be totally up to you as to how you tackle it.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC when it arrives in February next year.
