Microsoft Surface Mini is coming soon, according to Amazon case listing

The rumoured Microsoft Surface Mini could launch in May, newly surfaced leaks have suggested.

With Microsoft widely rumoured to be working on a smaller, 7-inch sibling to its Microsoft Surface Pro 2 tablet line, case manufacturer Vostrostone seems to have inadvertently outed the upcoming Microsoft Surface Mini tablet with an Amazon listing.

Other rumours suggest that the Mini Surface will have a screen size of between seven and eight inches. The “in stock” date on Amazon implies the Surface Mini could go on sale toward the end of May.

Neowin.net and ZDNet.com have both been given information from a source that indicated the Surface Mini will have a stylus included, much like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, a phone that we quite liked when we reviewed it following last October’s release.

The case itself is made from PU leather, a water and fade resistant material which is finished with a polyurethane coating. It claims to have holes cut for accessing the tablet’s ports and controls.

What’s more, the product listing has suggested that the Surface Mini case also folds up so the tablet can be used on a table to watch video or use a Bluetooth keyboard.

When ZDNet asked Microsoft for a comment the company replied that it has “nothing to share”. Presumably though, there will be an announcement fairly soon.
