Microsoft Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 just got serious power upgrades

The Surface Book has clearly seen some success as Microsoft doubles down on the line-up.

Microsoft has launched more powerful versions of the new Surface Book, as well as the Surface Pro 4.

Both devices are now available for purchase as models that feature a 6th-gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a sizeable 1TB of storage.

The new Surface Book will only be available online, through Microsoft Stores and other select retailers.

Meanwhile, the Surface Pro 4 will be shipping in physical retailers as well as Microsoft Stores.

Microsoft also launched its new gold Surface Pen in the following countries: Canada, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.

The new Surface Pen doesn’t offer any improvements over the existing model – it’s just a cosmetic variant.

As such, it still offers the 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity that Microsoft claims provides “the ultimate writing and drawing experience”.

The new devices retail at $3,199 (Surface Book), and $2,699 (Surface Pro 4).
