Microsoft has confirmed it will reveal its plans for the PC gaming future on January 21.

The reveal will occur at the Windows 10 event on January 21, when we’ll find out what Microsoft has in store for PC gamers.

Within a new post on Xbox Wire, the blog’s Editor in Chief Will Tuttle confirmed Microsoft will shed light on PC gaming next week.

In fact, the PC gaming news will come from the Xbox boss himself, Phil Spencer.

“And the Xbox experience isn’t limited just to the console. The Xbox team is continually working hard to expand and improve the experience across myriad devices – including home gaming PCs, soon to be powered by Windows 10,” said Tuttle.

Our goal is to help PC gaming flourish, and we’re excited to be helping shape the future of Windows. Phil Spencer will be sharing on the Windows consumer experience at a Windows event on January 21, including the role that gaming will play.”

The Windows 10 event is being live-streamed from the dedicated Windows 10 story site from 5pm GMT on Wednesday January 21.

So far, Microsoft hasn’t spoken about its plan for Windows 10 in terms of gaming.

Instead it has focused on the improvements to the user interface, including the return of the Start Menu, a Task View for multitasking and the support for multiple desktops.

Windows 10 will also have a Snap Mode not dissimilar to the Xbox One and allow Windows Store apps to work more like desktop apps.
