Now that it’s launched the Xbox One S, and with Project Scorpio soon to be unveiled, Microsoft has decided it’s time to get rid of a few of its original Xbox One consoles.
The company has taken a hefty amount off the price of the Xbox One, which you can now pick up from the online store with prices starting at £179.99 for the 500Gb bundles – that’s down from £249.99.
For that price you can get a variety of bundles, including the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition pack, which also comes with a free copy of Forza Horizon 3.

There’s also the Quantum Break bundle, or you can go for the ‘2 free games’ option which nets you the 500GB console with Forza and Halo 5.
If you’re looking for a tad more storage, you can always pick up one of the 1TB bundles, which now start at £199.99 – down from £299.99.
Considering you’ll save £100 and get a free game, the 1TB deals seem like the most tempting to us, but there’s a load of options on offer.
The Xbox One Elite controller
The Xbox One Elite, which comes with a fancy controller that lets you swap out buttons, has also been discounted from £299.99 to £199.99.
Microsoft is running the promotion until December 2, so make sure you get your order in before then.

The company is gearing up to unveil the long-awaited Project Scorpio: a more powerful version of the console that Xbox head of games marketing Aaron Greenberg says will “change the way we think about the future of console gaming.”
While it remains to be seen whether Microsoft can live up to such lofty promises, there’s every reason to take advantage of the price cuts that come ahead of Scorpio’s unveiling.
The original Xbox One may be a bulky machine, but it’s still considered ‘current-gen’ in terms of consoles, and is capable of running all the games the Xbox One S can.
