Microsoft is giving away 100 albums for free

Microsoft is now offering 100 albums free of charge through its Music Deals app.

The service launched back in October, and has peddled tunes at budget price-points ever since.

Initially, albums were priced up at £1.99 or less, with Taylor Swift’s latest album seeing a promo sale of $0.99.

Now, though, Microsoft has taken to dropping price tags completely and is doling out album after album right up until December 15.

There are 100 albums on offer, including Dr Dre’s 2001, Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP2, and Lady Gaga’s The Fame.

The albums come in MP3 form too, which means you’ll be able to shift them on to any respectable audio device.

To access the offer, you’ll need to head over to the Music Deals app or Xbox Music, although it’s worth bearing in mind that this is a US-only deal.
