Microsoft Build 2016 set for March 30

Microsoft has confirmed that its annual marquee Build conference will take place in San Francisco, starting on March 30 2016.

The developer-focused event will feature a keynote address from Microsoft leaders and product specialists from across the company.

The dates and location were confirmed on Friday by the firm’s chief evangelist Steve Guggenheimer on Twitter.

With Windows 10 now an established product, this year’s event is set to focus on improvements and additional features.

There’s also a chance we’ll see the company announce more Windows 10 Phone devices, to follow up from the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

Perhaps most enticingly, we may get a progress report on the HoloLens AR headset, which played a big part in generating excitement around last year’s expo.

Will we see close to a finished product from Microsoft? Might we learn when it will go on sale? Could we be treated to a host of new games and experiences?

Let the speculation begin.
