Metal Gear Solid 5 Quiet bug now fixed on PS4 and PC

Konami has confirmed that the Metal Gear Solid 5 Quiet bug is now fixed on PS4 and PC.

The Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain saved-game corruption bug related to Quiet has been fixed, Konami has confirmed.

The bug occurred when you took Quiet on missions 29 or 42 as a buddy, putting you at risk of losing your entire save-game.

Thankfully, the fix is now available on PS4 and PC and is in the works for other platforms as we speak.

Metal Gear Solid 5’s bug affects all platforms, including the last-gen PS3 and Xbox 360.

For those platforms, the only current workaround involves simply not taking Quiet on those numbered missions.

When the bug was discovered last week, Konami offered its condolences for anyone who had been affected by the corruption problem.

“We deeply apologize, and appreciate your patience for further announcements regarding this issue.”

Konami has also said it is investigating server issues and is “working on solutions for all affected platforms”.

The publisher has also said it will share new information on Metal Gear Online at the Tokyo Game Show later this week. That’s the more traditional multiplayer portion of the game, due out later this year on Xbox One and PS4 and coming to PC early 2016.
