Nintendo has announced a Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo alongside a number of other announcements for the remainder of 2015.
Nintendo didn’t hold back yesterday as it flooded us with announcements, many of which we had been eagerly anticipating.
The most exciting (and adorable) announcement came in the form of a big fluffy toy, because we’re all giant children, and proud of it.
The Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo is a giant variant of the previously released Yarn Yoshi Amiibo. Players can utilise the Godzilla-esque plushie to activate the “Double Yoshi” power up in Yoshi’s Woolly World.
This power up brings a second Yoshi into the game that players can freely control, the Amiibo will also provide you with an additional in-game skin.
Mega Yarn Yoshi will be priced at $40 in the US, so we can hope for it to retail for around £25 in the UK. The European release date is set for November 27.
It is not yet clear whether there will be different coloured variants like the original Yarn Yoshi Amiibo, which are fast becoming a rarity across the UK.

Whilst Yarn Yoshi was busy melting our hearts, Nintendo also announced a series of release dates for upcoming Wii U titles.
Nintendo confirmed the release dates for Star Fox Zero, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Mario Tennis via twitter.
The company also announced that Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water will be coming to Europe on October 30, and will also available in the form of a free-to-start digital version.
This could be the last major holiday release period for the Wii U with the release of Nintendo’s NX expected in 2016.
Let’s hope the struggling platform goes out in style.
