Marvel has teamed up with Huawei spin-off brand Honor to launch a limited edition Doctor Strange smartphone.
Fans of the good doctor can now purchase an Honor 8 that’s been etched with the 'Eye of Agamotto’ – that’s the mystical presence that resides within Doctor Strange’s amulet. The handset (magical properties pending) costs £370, and is available to buy exclusively through Three right now.
But wait, there’s more! If you buy the phone before November 30, 2016, you’ll also be in with a chance of winning two adult cinema tickets for Doctor Strange, as well as four free Marvel movie downloads. It’s in celebration of the upcoming Doctor Strange feature film, which is set to release in the UK on October 25 – well in advance of the November 4 US release.
For the unaware, the Honor 8 features a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a Kirin 950 chip, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 3,000mAh battery. It’s also got a 12-megapixel dual-camera module, and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
The Doctor Strange movie is produced by Marvel Studios, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, The Imitation Game) as the eponymous superhero. Other cast members include Chiwetel Ejiofor (The Martian, 12 Years a Slave), Rachel McAdams (True Detective, Spotlight), and Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Star Wars: Rogue One).
