Mario Maker has been unveiled as part of Nintendo’s E3 2014 press conference, with the new title to see Wii U gamers given the ability to build and manipulate their in-game worlds.

Letting gamers ‘create their own custom Mario courses’, Mario Maker will touch down next year, with levels able to be pulled apart, built and manipulated to help you overcome tricky layouts.

From resizing and repositioning Mario’s classic green pipes to adding and altering the building blocks of the Mario levels, Mario Maker will see gamers utilise the Wii U controller’s touchscreen display and stylus.

Making use of the dual-screen console, the controller’s panel will let users alter the in-game environment while their TV will show the ever-changing level in its full glory.

What’s more, the Mario Maker teaser trailer has suggested that gamers will jump between classic 8-bit Mario visuals and current Mario graphics at the touch of a button.

Although a welcome addition to the ever expanding Mario world, Mario Maker is not a surprise, having leaked last week.

Nintendo has remained coy on finalised details, confirming that a Mario Maker release date will be held in 2015.

We hope to hear more about Mario Maker during the remainder of E3, so stay tuned to TrustedReviews for all the latest.
