Mario Kart 8 Deluxe install size revealed for Nintendo Switch
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is only a few weeks away, and now we finally know how much space the digital version will require on the hybrid console.
According to a recent listing by Amazon Germany, the digital download will take up a relatively small 6.75GB on Nintendo Switch. Far less than The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild which weighs in at 13.4GB.
The Nintendo Switch currently ships with 32GB of internal storage. Knowing that, it seems the upcoming kart racer will take up roughly 20% of your total space. Those with an additional SD card needn’t have to worry.

Scheduled to launch on April 28 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will feature all of the DLC tracks, racers and karts released for the original game. New competitors have also been added in the form of Splatoon 2’s inklings, Dry Bones and King Boo.
Games Editor Brett Phipps had a chance to test out the delightful racer earlier this year. He came away feeling quite excited.
“Rather than being the definitive version of Mario Kart 8, Deluxe feels more like the definitive culmination of portable and console Mario Kart games, and that’ll probably be reason enough for me to buy it again.”
