Police have now charged the infamous ‘Lucozade Bandit’ with a series of offences, including riding a hoverboard in public.
The apparent crook rose to infamy after CCTV footage recently emerged showing the man stealing a crate of Lucozade from a Co-Op convenience store.
The weirdest part of the whole fiasco however, is that he made good his escape on a self-balancing scooter.
Omaree Lindsay, a Croydon local, is now facing what is thought to be the first UK prosecution for riding a ‘hoverboard’ on public property.

The 19-year-old is due to appear at Wimbledon magistrates court on December 30.
He has been charged with theft, riding a self-balancing scooter on the pavement, and failing to comply with a court order.
Hoverboards first fell on the wrong side of the law back in October, when the Crown Prosecution Service issued damning new guidance that forbid the use of such scooters in public.
