Movie streaming specialist LoveFilm has announced a partnership with Disney UK and Ireland that will provide customers with instant access to Marvel animated TV series.
Subscribers to LoveFilm Instant will be able to stream hundreds of episodes of the original Marvel TV series. Fans of the recent flush of superhero blockbusters in cinemas will be interested to see how the series began, indulging in the 1990s animations of X-Men, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Die-hard comic book fans will also appreciate the newest additions to the LoveFilm on-demand service.
Adding to LoveFilm’s already vast library, the partnership with Disney is the third content announcement for the Amazon company in the last two weeks. Deals with NBC Universal and Channel 4 have already seen classic TV series such as The Inbetweeners, Peep Show, 30 Rock, and 80s classic Knight Rider to the LoveFilm archives.
“We already have a fantastic range of animated TV content on offer for our customers and it is great to see it expand with Marvel animation as a result of this new deal with Disney,” said Jim Buckle, Managing Director at LoveFilm.
“It is an exciting development as many of our members will have frown up watching Marvel classics and can now catch up whenever they choose.”
The LoveFilm Instant on-demand service is available on a variety of platforms including the iPad Mini, Google Nexus 7, as well as a range of smartphones, Smart TVs and games consoles like the Nintendo Wii U.
