The thin and light Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard mini cover for iPad mini brings all the features of the iPad version to its smaller counterpart, including the EasyType Bluetooth keyboard.
“We are excited to bring the award-winning Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard cover design – recognised across the industry as the best mobile keyboard for iPad – to the iPad mini,” said Alexis Richard, director of brand development for tablet accessories.
“Think of it as the other half of your iPad mini. Its clever seven-inch design fits perfectly with the iPad mini while offering full-size keys for easy typing, saving your screen space for content.”
Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard mini Features
Like the original Apple iPad mini Smart Cover, the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard mini attaches to the iPad mini via integrated magnets – and hopefully ones a little more powerful than Apple's.
The slim aluminium cover is matched to the same colours as the black and white options for the iPad mini and offers durable cover for the iPad mini screen.
The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard weighs in at 220g, which, in comparison to the 308g of the iPad mini Wi-Fi version, is quite an additional weight to add to the very portable 7.9-inch Apple tablet.
Snapping off the case and putting the iPad mini in the central groove turns the cover into a full-sized EasyType keyboard, complete with function keys such as copy and paste to make typing on the iPad mini far easier.
It features automatic on/off switching that automatically wakes the iPad mini when the cover is opened. Its internal battery is rechargeable and will give an approximate three-months of usage per charge, based on two hours typing per day.
Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard mini Price and Release Date
Logitech has said the suggested Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard price will be £69.99, with the cover launching this month in black and white options to match the iPad mini design.
