Logitech has launched a couple of wireless accessories to hook up to your smartphone and tablet which aim to enhance the music capabilities of said device.
The first is the Logitech Wireless Headset which can connect to a variety of Apple devices (iPad, iPod touch, or iPhone) or any other Bluetooth-enabled devices. As you can imagine it will let you roam freely without the fear of tangling yourself in those dastardly cables.
The rather ugly-looking headset, which features a microphone boom, claims to have “laser-tuned” rivers which produce “rich stereo sound while minimizing distortion.” The headset also includes a rechargeable battery which promises 6 hours of listening time on a single charge.
The second wireless accessory to be announced by Logitech is the Wireless Boombox. Built for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, the Boombox will transform your device into a touch screen player and remote control to wirelessly stream stereo audio.
The speaker can be placed “wherever you want” according to Logitech – that is, as long as it’s within 10 metres of you riDevice. Again the Boombox promises a six-hour battery life (depending on conditions and usage) from a rechargeable battery.
The sound from the Boombox is powered by eight custom-designed drivers which help separate sound frequencies “so you hear crisp, clear high notes, a rich, full mid range and deep powerful bass.”
The Wireless Headset is expected to be available in mid-October with a suggest price of £54.99 while the Boombox will be available at the end of October for £129.
