Amazon's Dash button launched last year and made it easier than ever to order items with one simple button press.
Now, it seems Logitech has taken notice as the company has unveiled its new Pop Home Switch – a similar button that will carry out pre-assigned tasks when pressed.
The difference is, that the Pop Home Switch will work with a varity of smart home applications and can be pressed in multiple ways in order to start different tasks.
Logitech's device will work with products from Lifx, Lutron, Insteon, Phillips, Sonos, and others, and will, of course, play nice with the company's own Harmony home automation hardware.

You'll also be able to press the button in three different ways to trigger different actions. A single press, double press, and long press are all possible – making for a more adaptable device than Amazon's Dash button.
Possible actions include dimming smart light bulbs or starting specific Sonos playlists, and more.
Control of the Pop Home Switch is handled via the accompanying Android or iOS app, which is capable of detecting smart home devices connected to your Wi-Fi network.
You'll be able to set the button to trigger actions on numerous devices or one single device, depending on your requirements.
The Logitech Pop Home Switch Starter Pack and the Logitech Pop Add-on Home Switch are expected to go on sale in the U.S. in August.
The Pop Home Switch Starter Pack will be $99.99 and the Pop Add-On Home Switch will cost $39.99, while the app itself is free.
There's no word on a UK release date or pricing just yet, but stay tuned for more information.
