A special, limited edition PS4 has been launched to celebrate PlayStation’s 20 year anniversary.
The PS4 20th Anniversary Edition has been launched to signpost 20 years of PlayStation’s history.
The limited edition model has been skinned with elements of the original PlayStation’s iconic design. For example you’ll see below that the DualShock 4 has the original PlayStation logo as its home button, and all the PS4 kit has been decked out in the traditional grey colour.
“Details will be shared on the PlayStation UK channels next week on how you can be in with a chance of getting hold of one of these extremely rare limited edition consoles in time for Christmas. Be sure to stay tuned…” said Sony in a statement.
If you look closely, you’ll even see that the PS4 has the face button symbols branded on it that catch in the light. We’re a little jealous of this new console.
Sony has also released a special theme to celebrate the 20 year anniversary, which comes complete with colourful original PlayStation icons and a shiny grey background.
It can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store now, so you can kit your PS4, PS3 and PS Vita out for the occasion.
